OSNAS took four students on an overnight visit to two college campuses in November. Mrs Seaton, the school’s Guidance Counselor, took 4 upperclassmen to Messiah College and Lancaster Bible College to give them firsthand experience with two Christian colleges. The visit included a tour of the campuses (both one-on-one and in a small group), a taste of college dining, and a chance to sit inside a college classroom. The students slept in the dorm rooms overnight, attended Lancaster’s Open House the next day, and headed back to Centereach in the afternoon.
Many athletic coaches approached the OSNAS students during their time in the cafeteria with the hope of recruiting them for their teams. They met and spoke with former OSNAS student Katerina Reade, currently a freshman at Lancaster. On Friday they were able to attend a worship concert at Lancaster. The students responded with nothing but positive feedback about the trip. OSNAS hopes to make the opportunity available again next year with a visit to two more God-honoring institutions.Â
