How do you start your day? With coffee, the morning news, exercise, or some other routine? How you start your day typically sets the tone for how the rest of the day will go. At OSNAS, we start each day with a 12 minute service called Daily Prayer. At Daily Prayer, all students and faculty gather together to hear God’s Word, pray and worship. Students learn a verse of the week and sing songs that center around this Bible verse. They also say the pledge of allegiance, see inspiring Christian video clips, and pray the Lord’s Prayer among other things. God deserves our first and best because He gave us His first and best when He sent His Son Jesus to save us. It is always good practice to begin your day with God and listen to His words of eternal life. You can’t do this at every school. In fact, this is forbidden in our nation’s public school system, although this was not always the case. At our family-friendly, Christian, private school, the students of OSNAS still have the privilege of receiving God’s Word on a daily basis. What a great way to start the day!
