Dear OSNAS Family,
Happy Thanksgiving Week! Just like the first Pilgrims who came to this land for religious freedom, we have much to be thankful for. As Christians, we have forgiveness of all our sins, eternal life and the Words of eternal life to accompany us along all of life’s ups and downs.Â
The school and church were able to send out 100 shoeboxes today filled with Christmas gifts! Thank you for helping spread the love of Jesus to children across the world.
This past weekend, four of our seniors went on a college trip to Patrick Henry College and Liberty University. Both institutions are boldly Christian in their educational approach. Everyone had a great time as they experienced college life and even sat in on a class. We thank God for a safe, enjoyable and informative trip.Â
OSNAS Updates:
- Tomorrow is the Thanksgiving Feast for grades K-4! The feast will go from 11-12:00pm in the cafeteria. All parents are invited to attend. Please bring in the items assigned to your child’s class tomorrow morning or before 11am. On the same day, the PTC will then be putting on a Thanksgiving Festival for the elementary students in the gymnasium from 1:00-3:00pm. Parents are also welcome to stay for that if they would like.
- There is a supplemental online PTC Meeting tonight at 7:00pm. You can join via zoom by clicking here.
- Every year, OSNAS sends out a survey to parents. This provides us with valuable feedback as we assess our strengths and weaknesses. This year, we are sending out a survey via GraceWorks, a Christian company that helps schools be even more effective than they are. The survey is nationally-normed, you can be anonymous if you like, and is exclusively for Christian schools. Because we value your feedback so highly and need as many responses as possible, students of participating families (as reported to us by GraceWorks) will receive a pass to wear jeans, Christmas-colored tops or sweaters on Friday, December 1st when we decorate the halls! If both parents/guardians complete the survey, your child will also receive an ice cream sundae during lunch served by yours truly 🙂 (families with only one parent or guardian will receive both rewards if one survey is complete). Thank you for helping us!
