Dear OSNAS Family,
First off, thank you for the outpouring of prayers and support that so many in the OSNAS community offered my family as we welcomed a new baby and battled COVID all at once. I was moved by the way God’s family came together in our time of trial to lift us up with encouraging messages, calls, gifts, meals and prayer circles. I am blessed to work in this place where God’s Spirit is present in a mighty way — especially in difficult times.
The first quarter has now come to a close. First quarter grades will be going out this week in an email link. As a classical Christian school, OSNAS prioritizes personal character over academic performance. This is what matters most to God. As God told the prophet Samuel, “God does not see the same way people see. People look at the outside of a person, but the Lord looks at the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7) Out of a desire to align our priorities with God’s, OSNAS does not merely evaluate and encourage good grades but also whether the student displays our core values of integrity, family, enthusiasm and excellence on a day to day basis; we do this inside the classroom as well as in the halls, lunchroom, and in Daily Prayer. Thank you for your partnership and help in stressing to your child the value of character over academic results.Â
This Friday is Jesus Never Stops day since next week we are on Thanksgiving break. May the Lord grant you His Spirit and a thankful heart this season and always.Â
Peace in the Lord +
Dr. Stelzer
