Dear OSNAS Family,
Last week was a great week filled with events such as Student of the Quarter, a College Trip, and a Thanksgiving Feast with parents. Thanksgiving is not mainly about food, football or even family. Although those things are blessings, Thanksgiving is about being thankful to God. That’s what the first Thanksgiving was about. You can get a refresher on this important historical event by clicking here.Â
Here are some things to be aware of moving forward:
- Permission slips for the field trip to King Tut are due tomorrow. To give ourselves more time to get to the destination, we will now be leaving from the school in a charter bus at 8:15am sharp on December 15th. We will go to the museum and afterwards we will get back on the bus to travel and eat at a Chinese buffet close to the school. Students should carry with them $20 for their lunch. If we have extra seats on the bus, we will open the trip to any parents who want to go on the trip with us.  Â
- As a reminder, the date of our Christmas Concert this year has been changed to December 21st at 7:00pm.Â
- Planning ahead, March 17th was originally a day set aside for Teacher Professional Development. That date has been moved to Friday, March 31st. Consequently, there will be school on the 17th but not on the 31st of March.Â
- Finally, there will be a Winter Paint Night for the community led by our Art Teacher, Mrs. Hin on Friday, December 2 from 6:30-8:30pm in the Creation Room. Come make a beautiful work of art with some friends. The fee for this is $25.Â
