Dear OSNAS Family,
It’s Spirit Week! As Christians, we don’t just have spirit for our school or team, we have God’s Spirit. Jesus told His disciples that it was preferable that He should depart so that He could send the Spirit of God to guide us and fill us with His fruits (John 16:7). I pray the Spirit fills each one of us this week as we celebrate His goodness and grace. Here are some things to note moving forward:
- Thank you to those you brought in donations today. If you forgot, you can still bring in canned goods tomorrow. Boxed goods are for Wednesday, toiletries for Thursday and baby items for Friday.
- Parents and guests are invited to come to the Pep Rally on Friday from 2-3pm. Parents will gather on the south lawn (outside the church) and form two lines for the students to walk through as they parade around the school. Parents should arrive a little before 2pm for this and then will follow the students into the gym where the lower school students will perform their cheers/dances and the sports teams will be announced.
- Everyone is invited to attend the Community Festival on Saturday from 12-4pm! There will be food, activities, bouncy house, and the annual alumni games (volleyball at 1pm and soccer at 2:30pm).
- The Homecoming Dance is also on Saturday. Grades 5-8 will attend from 7-8:30pm and grades 9-12 will attend from 8:15 to 10pm. Coronation of the court, king and queen will happen at 8:15pm.
- For grades K-4, we will be having a Field Trip to Harbes Family Farm in Mattituck on Tuesday, October 25th. Permission slips will be going home this week. Students will leave in a bus at 9:00am and be back around 2:00pm. If you want to join, parents can follow the bus and purchase your own ticket upon arrival.
