Dear OSNAS Family,
Happy Epiphany! Epipha-what? Epiphany comes from the Greek word meaning “manifestation.” Who is being manifested you ask. Jesus! This is the season in the church year when we move on from Jesus’ birth to focus on the many ways that Jesus shows Himself to be the Son of God through His works and the honor that is paid to him (like the magi bringing their gifts).Â
- Thank you to all who provided us with valuable feedback through the Parent Survey. For example, out of those who responded to the survey, 96% said they read the OSNAS Updates either all the time or most of the time. I was able to read each comment last week, all of which were informative and insightful. Thank you! It was abundantly clear from the survey that what parents appreciate most about OSNAS is the Christ-centeredness. This is great to hear because this is what is most important to us.Â
- There is a P.T.C. meeting tonight at 7:00pm for anyone who is interested.Â
- For the month of January, our theme is “Shine your Light for the Unborn.” We will have a guest speaker from Soundview Pregnancy Services speak to the children of this life saving ministry on January 18th during Daily Prayer. We will also be giving the students opportunities to donate to this ministry through filling up baby bottles once they arrive. Students will also be able to sell anything they would like to make or create during the week of January 23-27. Call it Entrepreneur’s Week! We will set out table for these young entrepreneurs who would like to sell their artwork, crafts, etc. and then donate their proceeds to Soundview.Â
- If you are looking for a Bible Study, this week we begin classes for all ages on Wednesdays from 7:00-8:15pm.Â
May the Lord grant you a blessed Epiphany season!

Dr. Stelzer
Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6:14-17
