OUR HISTORY
Our Savior New American School (OSNAS) began in 1992 as a mission of Our Savior Church in Centereach, New York (LCMS). The school is located in the heart of Long Island, a commuter’s drive from New York City.
The school began as a one-room schoolhouse using individualized curriculum for full-time students and enrichment courses for home-school students. As OSNAS grew, it transitioned into classrooms for specific grades and subjects with increasing extra-curricular and enhancement options. The school has expanded through building programs, land purchases and development.
The co-ed student body is very diverse, attracting students from various socio-economic, religious, racial, geographical and even international backgrounds. The school community, however, is unified in its commitment to enjoying and transmitting the blessings of a strong Christian and American heritage along with the fruits of Western Civilization.
Graduates have been well equipped and prepared to succeed in their various colleges and careers. The graduates include a national merit semifinalist, a Big-East scholar-athlete of the year, an NBA pro, a doctor of theology, two published authors and a Carnegie Hall performer.
