Our Savior New American School

Financial Aid

As a Christian ministry, our goal is to reach out to the entire community in an effort to make Christian education affordable to as many families who share our vision and values. To maximize this outreach, families receiving financial aid are expected to make a financial sacrifice according to their ability to pay. Last year the school gave away over $260,000 in needs based tuition assistance.

Reflecting the Biblical values behind our financial aid program, financial aid recipients are required to agree to, and sign, a special financial aid covenant.

Please click on the link below to view our "Financial Aid Covenant". This covenant must be signed and sent to the school before a decision can be made on a finacial aid award.

Our goal in offering financial aid is to be fair to all who apply. For this reason, we use an independent company, called FACTS, to evaluate a families financial need. This report plays a major role in the finance committees decision on any award given.

Testimony from the Colon Family:
My husband and I are senior citizens and grandparents trying to retire while raising 4 grandchildren. My grandchildren attended the local public school which left me very uneasy every morning as they left home. My youngest grandchild Nyla who is very shy experienced bullying both on the bus and in her first grade class and had a fear of school. My second grandchild Marisett, who is very outgoing, was under extreme peer pressure to fit in at the middle school. When I opted Marisett out of the common core testing in 7th grade she was looked down on because her and 1 other child were the only one who took a stand and now she feared her teachers were angry at her. That was the last straw for me. It seemed like an everyday battle and I was more concerned every day. That is when I called the high school and asked what private schools our district would bus to. I then started my quest to get them into a Christian school and found Our Savior New American School. We now had a difficult decision to make because we wanted the best education and peace of mind for our granddaughters Marisett & Nyla who were our last two still at home with us. We were financially strapped and did not know how we would be able to afford to put them in OSNAS. After carefully going over our finances and cut every corner we could my husband and I prayed that God would make a way where there seemed to be no way. The next day I took a step of faith and called Our Savior and asked to speak to the financial aid dept. I then spoke to Mr. Schneider and began to explain our situation and then proceeded to ask him if they give financial aid strictly by your pay stubs or if they also considered your circumstances. After talking for a while with Mr. Schneider a while we prayed and he asked me to please complete the FACTS Grant and Aid application and we will get back to you. We completed the application and within a few days we were offered a tuition proposal. I responded with this e-mail: Thank you so much for getting back to me so quickly with your proposal. It is a lot to add to our existing bills and personal financial commitments to some of our extended family’s needs, however we will certainly lift it up in prayer and get back to you. God made it clear to us that OSNAS was the place for the girls and the school made it financially possible for our granddaughters to enroll at OSNAS. Both Marisett and Nyla are making great progress and have a stronger bond with the Lord because they have the freedom to pray in school. Our granddaughters were aware of the financial sacrifice it was for us to put them into OSNAS at this time in our lives and they continually show us their appreciation by their grades. My husband and I could not be happier that we took the step of faith. Thank you Lord Jesus for answered prayer and thank you Mr. Schneider and the finance committee for your financial aid and support in making our dream a reality. Sincerely, Mr. and Mrs. Colon

Testimony from the Sudler Family:
At the end of my daughters 4th grade year I knew God was telling me it was time to take her out of public school. So I did and home schooled her for the next three years. During these years I noticed she had a few academic struggles and at the end of the third year I felt God was speaking to my heart once again because in addition to those struggles I saw her desire to go back to school. I knew that placing her back in public school was not an option and I began to seek out local and affordable Christian schools because I graduated from one and knew the benefits that Christian schools give in relation to education and teaching biblical truth. My husband and I came across Our Savior and begin to pray about it and started looking into it. My mom was also looking into putting my nieces into Our Savior and she invited my family to their annual pasta night. It was evident and so very clear to our heart that this was the place God was pointing us to. I was able to speak to Mr. Schneider, who understood our financial situation and desire. We completed a FACTS Grant and Aid application and was offered a tuition proposal which ultimately made it possible, which some sacrifice on our part, for us to send our daughter there. God open the door and answered our prayers in such a mighty way. Since September my daughter has thrived in every area and has overcome many struggles and conquered many fears when it comes to her academics. She has grown closer to the Lord as well as making many good friends. She is extremely thankful to be in the school and our family gives God all the glory!
