Brian Garnier
Trade Skills Teacher
Brian Garnier joined the Navy in 1976. Then, in 1980, he started his work in the flooring industry. During his many years in the flooring industry, he received his carpet installation instructor certification from the Floor Covering Installation Institute and from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Additionally, he received multiple certificates as a master installer.
He utilized his knowledge of flooring to teach inmates at the Rutgers prison and was featured in People Magazine. Then, he taught flooring installation at Western Suffolk Boces. In 1995, he started Brian David Floor Covering and North Eastern Installations, employing over 20 local men, serving residences and commercial businesses.
Now, you can find Brian managing Sybelle’s. He joined the staff at OSNAS in 2022 to pass on his experience and guidance for the next generation. He has been a member at Our Savior Lutheran Church since 1988, a deacon since 2012, and a certified counselor as well. He is married to Marie Garnier for 39 years. They have four children and live in Nesconset, NY.
