Graduation Day at OSNAS

Dear OSNAS Family,

I am very thankful that God gave us such a strong finish to a great year! From finals week, to the athletic awards ceremony, to the closing service, the joy of the Lord was present in a tangible way. We fought the good fight, we finished the race, and we kept the faith! (2 Timothy 4:7-8)

As one race ends, another one begins. This is certainly the case for our ten OSNAS graduates who are going on to various colleges and ministry opportunities. The graduates did a fantastic job delivering their graduation speeches. They said that it was a breeze in comparison to defending their senior thesis in front of a panel of judges. Isabella Di Salvo was the class valedictorian and Pelayo Suarez Rubio was the salutatorian. You can see the ceremony on the school facebook page.

OSNAS Updates:

  1. As we have in years past, OSNAS is offering a summer home reading/activities program. This allows the kids to stay active with their minds for about a half hour a day. Please check out this opportunity by clicking HERE.
  2. As a suggestion for summer reading for parents, I recommend the book The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt. Although he has some unhelpful comments as one espousing an evolutionary worldview, he does a solid job documenting the damage that smartphones and social media have inflicted upon our youth since 2010. If you are thinking about getting an internet phone for your child before high school, caveat emptor and be sure to inform yourself.
  3. If you like to take advantage of summer deals, you can now access the school supply list for next year.
  4. Don’t forget to sign up for OSNAS Summer Camps at osnas.org. If you sign up today, you will receive a 5% discount.

Stay active. Serve the Lord and keep Him first this summer. May the Lord bless and keep you!

Peace in the Lord +

Dr. Stelzer
