Grandparents Day

IMG

Proverbs 13:22 tells us, “A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children.” Good grandparents pass down valuable things to their grandchildren. And the most valuable thing that a grandparent can pass down—the pearl of great price—is a knowledge and love for Jesus. Every year we have the honor of welcoming grandparents into the school who have poured into their grandchildren the love of Christ. On Wednesday, the kids were able to return the favor. They read Bible verses, gave tributes, and sang songs of love for Jesus and their grandparents. It is always one of the most joyful days of the year.

OSNAS Updates:

  1. Tomorrow is our Fall Field Trip to Harbes Farm in Mattituck. Students should bring a disposable lunch and drink (no non-disposable water bottles please). Parents are welcome to attend but must drive on their own and pay their own admission ticket. We will leave after Daily Prayer and be back at the school before the end of the day.
  2. Thursday is a half day (dismissal at 11:15AM). We have Parent Teacher Conferences from 1-3PM and 6-8:30PM. Parents in grades K-5 should have received a sign up sheet to schedule a a specific time to meet with the teacher. Parents of grades 6-12 will be able to move freely from one teacher to another. In order to accommodate everyone, we ask you to come early if possible and for the individual meetings to not go beyond 5-7 minutes since there will be other parents waiting. Any conversation that needs more time, please ask the teacher for a follow-up meeting by phone or in-person. We are here to serve you.
  3. There is no school on Friday for Teacher Professional Development.
