OSNAS Students Make History All Over Again
During Chapel last Wednesday, OSNAS students in grades K-6 recited their historical speeches and sang their history songs. The students came dressed in the attire from the time period they were studying to add to the fun.
It was encouraging to hear the kids skillfully perform dramatic speeches from Patrick Henry (the voice of the American Revolution), Thomas Jefferson (the pen of the Revolution), George Washington (the sword of the Revolution), Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther, Benjamin Franklin and Martin Luther King Jr. All of the speeches conveyed uplifting messages that were saturated with Scripture or biblical principles. We are blessed to live in a country whose basic principles/rights find their basis in God and not human beings. We are “endowed by our Creator” with the right to life and liberty and this applies to all people regardless of color or size.
Upcoming Events:
- OSNAS Drama class will be performing Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat on May 17th and 18th. Mark your calendars for an amazing show!
- Our annual field trip to Sight and Sound will be on Friday, May 3rd. Given the number of students attending, students in grades 3-8 who are not attending the field trip should not come to school on that day. Students in grades 1-2 and 9-12 will have a regular day of learning.
- Believe it or not, this Friday is the last Friday of the month. That means “Jesus Never Stops Day!”
May the Lord bless and keep you.
