OSNAS Students Visit the Farm
On Monday, October 28th, OSNAS students from grades K-6 paid a visit to Harbes Family Farm in Mattituck. The students enthusiastically fed the farm animals, hitched a hay ride, picked a personal pumpkin, played on the playground, and watched “Ruby Red” eke out a victory in an exciting pig race. God’s creation is the best classroom of all, and it was a privilege to step into the fresh air and gain a greater appreciation for the things that he has made. He makes the sun shine, rain fall and the plants grow so that we can experience a wonder-filled life.
OSNAS Update:
- Don’t forget to mark your calendars for our Christmas Concert and Fundraiser on December 6th from 6:30-8:30PM. You will be treated to some phenomenal Christmas singing by professional singers Fr. Charles and Laurie Mangano, great desserts, and a couple student performances. It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
- There will be a PTC Meeting tonight at 7PM in the Library. All parents are welcome to come and plan for the upcoming Parent-Teacher Mixer and the elementary school Thanksgiving Festival at the end of the month.
- Wednesday is our special Veterans’ Day Chapel from 8:15-9:00AM. We invite all to attend but especially if you or someone you know has served in the U.S. Armed Forces.
- Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place on Friday from 1-3PM and 6-8:30PM. Parents of grades K-4 typically have a scheduled time to come in while grades 5-12 visit their students’ teachers by going from class to class. Please attend if humanly possible so that you can receive an update on how your child is doing in their classes. You will be able to ask any questions and solidify the parent teacher partnership that we seek to foster here at OSNAS.
- We are planning on having an Our Savior Basketball League for grades 1-6 on Mondays and Thursdays in December and January from 6:30-7:45PM. This will be for OSNAS students and for people in the community as well. More details will be forthcoming.
