Pioneer Girls and Boys Basketball Notch Wins in Opening Games

Dear OSNAS Family,

On Friday, the boys basketball team hosted Ross High School in their home opener. The popcorn was popping, the music was grooving and the fans were cheering. After Ross jumped out to an early lead, Our Savior took control in the second quarter and never looked back. In his first game as head coach of the Pioneers, Navro Allen had his team ready to go.

Last week, the girls team played their first game of the season at Shelter Island. Even after the long drive and ferry ride, the girls came our firing. They coasted to a 51-6 victory. With so many young players, the future looks bright for coaches Welty and Bray. This week, the girls have a home game on Thursday at 4:30PM and the boys will play on Friday at 4:00PM. Hope to see you there!
