Deck the Halls!
One of OSNAS’ most loved traditions is “Deck the Halls”. On the first Friday of December, students stream into the halls to hang decorations, string lights and construct scenes from the biblical Christmas story. This year, even Santa, his reindeer, and the Grinch made a surprise appearance. You can see this festive event by clicking here. You will probably see your child with a smile on their face…unless perhaps they didn’t get any candy of which Santa foolishly ran out 🙂 Apparently, even Santa makes mistakes and needs a Savior. Thankfully, that’s what this season is all about–our Savior Jesus is born! Merry Christmas!
OSNAS Updates:
- Christmas Concerts are coming up! The Pre-K concert will be this Wednesday at 9:30AM. Grades K-12 will be the following Wednesday (Dec. 17th). Come from 5:30-6:15PM to walk through the halls and see the decorations, lights and nativity characters. All students should be in the chapel by 6:15PM. Students in grades K-4 should come in their costumes and grades 5-8 should come in the following attire:
- Boys – Dark dress pants – White button down dress shirt – Red Tie
- Girls – Christmas dress
- The PTC is putting on a Christmas Boutique from this Thursday to next Monday during the student’s recess time. Students can purchase little gifts for their loved ones if you send them in with some cash on one of those days The thrill is not the gifts but seeing the joy on your child’s face as they select and give a gift for someone they love. Parents who are able to help with this event are encouraged to sign up here. You can also attend tonight’s PTC meeting at 7PM in the library.
- Next week, the senior class is putting on a Holly Jolly Spirit Week! We want our students to become leaders for Christ and I am proud of the way they have taken the initiative to bless the school. They have written an original Christian skit and will perform it during next Monday’s Daily Prayer. They have also organized a series of dress days as a fundraiser for the Junior/Senior Spring Formal. Students who bring in $5 (either this week or on Monday) will be able to dress up with Christmas spirit next week (see flyer below for daily instructions). Students who participate should bring their uniform in case they are out of compliance.
May the Lord bless and keep you!
