Field Day at OSNAS!

All grades took to the field on Friday for the annual OSNAS Field Day. Students dashed, hopped and bounced their way to victory in various races including potato sack race, 3-legged, bouncy ball, dress up and spoon and egg. Of course the highlight of the day is always the water balloon toss (this year won by 7th graders Caitlyn Thankachan and Natalia Carrion) and the never disappointing tug-of war. Not surprisingly, the moms and dads once again showed the kids that they were the bosses 🙂

When we compete, we learn many valuable life lessons. Sports benefit us physically, mentally, socially and spiritually. The Apostle Paul likens the Christian life to a race. It requires endurance to win the race and receive the crown of righteousness (2 Timothy 4:7-8). Jesus also said, “He who endures to the end will be saved” (Matthew 24:13). From this we see that the Christian life is not just about starting, it’s about finishing!
