OSNAS High Schoolers Visit Plaza Margarita

Students from grades 9-12 went to Plaza Margarita last week to have “un almuerzo mexicano” and to make use of some of the Spanish they learned throughout the year. Upon leaving the restaurant, we received some very nice compliments about their conduct. Whether in Boston, Lancaster or Long Island, our kids have behaved in such a way that have caused others to comment. Our bus driver to Lancaster told me that he has never driven a more grateful group in all his time as a bus driver. We are not born with manners. We need a steady diet of reminders from parents, teachers and mentors in order to become polite. Since we bear the name of Our Savior on our shirts and in our hearts, we should always seek to be a light to those around us. Something as simple as using the words “please” and “thank you” show forth godly qualities such as humility and gratitude and open doors to share Christ. And this is our highest calling in life.
