OSNAS Journeys to Bethlehem
When the Israelites left Egypt, God commanded them to celebrate the Passover Feast on an annual basis. The purpose for this was specifically for the children. When they would ask about the reason they were eating bitter herbs, unleavened bread and Passover Lamb, the parents would have the opportunity to retell the story of their deliverance year after year.
In a like manner, we want our children to remember the story of our redemption year after year, not only with words but with actions and ceremony. This is why we dress up in costumes and act out the Christmas Story. We want to know it intimately and we want to share the glory of God’s humility with others. The kids did a great job singing and acting and if you would like to see the performance, you can click here.
OSNAS Updates:
- For the first time ever, we will be having a Karate Club. This club is open to the first 20 students who sign up from grades K-6. It will be on Wednesdays after school from 3:15-4:45 from February to May. This class is led by our Black Belt Bible Teacher, Chris Quarlena. Students will learn the skills of self-defense, confidence and respect. Click here to sign up.
- If you are in the OSNAS Basketball League, just a reminder that we are only meeting on Thursdays in the month of January.
- Our school will be taking its annual field trip to Sight and Sound Theatre in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on May 1st. We will be sending home permission slips this week. This trip is open to grades 3-12. There are a limited number of seats on the coach bus so this trip is on a first come first served basis. Click here to watch the trailer.
- There will be a PTC Meeting tomorrow (not tonight) at 7:00PM in the library.
