OSNAS Seniors Defend Year-Long Thesis

The culminating project of a student’s education at OSNAS is their senior thesis presentation. Every senior chooses a topic they are passionate about, researches it thoroughly, makes a compelling and controversial statement, and then seeks to defend their argument in both writing and in speech before a panel of inquiring judges. This project is a rite of passage with the student transitioning from one who is taught to one who teaches. It shows that they have the tools to search out the truth (Grammar), explain why it is true (Logic), and defend their argument in a convincing fashion (Rhetoric). It is a hallmark of classical education to be able to learn for oneself and stand on one’s own two feet with wisdom and discernment. Each OSNAS senior was impressive in one way or another. Topics ranged from Mandatory Reporting, Sports Gambling, Space Force, Abortion, Affirmative Action, Autistic Care, and Praying to Saints. You can watch two of the presentations by clicking here.
