OSNAS Travels to See Joshua!

For the past two decades or so, our school has brought a bus load of kids to Sight and Sound Theatre in Lancaster, PA. Students in grades 3-12 look forward to traveling in a coach bus, eating at the Shady Maple with its 200 foot long buffet, and seeing a better than broadway production about some biblical character. This year, we were treated to a performance called Joshua. Even though it’s called Joshua, the play is really about Jesus. It’s about the God of power who saves in ways that appear strange to us. It’s about the God of compassion who saved a Canaanite prostitute along with her entire family. My favorite moment was when one of our third grade students came up to me after the play and said, “Dr. Stelzer this play changed my life!” That is the power of good drama and more precisely, the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you parents for offering your children opportunities to encounter the Lord on a daily basis. Your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

OSNAS Updates:

  1. Speaking of drama, our upper school students will be performing The Little Mermaid on Friday and Saturday at 7:30PM. So many of our kids have put in a lot of time throughout the year to bring this Disney classic to life. Doors open at 7:00PM. There will be raffles and concessions. Tickets are $5 for students/children and $10 for adults. Come and be blessed!
  2. Wednesday at 9:30AM is the Preschool Mother’s Day Concert and Tea. We thank God for our mothers!
  3. Thursday is National Day of Prayer. All students will gather in the chapel at the end of the day (2:40PM) to pray for our nation. Students will bring backpacks so they can be dismissed from the chapel. Parents are more than welcome to attend as we lift up our country to God. There is little more important than PRAYER.
  4. Tomorrow is Teacher Appreciation Day! Thank you for your generosity in providing both a breakfast and a lunch for our teachers tomorrow. On behalf of our faculty, it is an honor to serve you!
  5. Last but not least, please be sure to mark your calendars for a Future Plans Meeting and Dinner on May 28th from 6:00-7:15PM. At this meeting we will discuss some new plans we have for the upcoming year. You won’t have to prepare dinner that night, and we’ll be able to come together as the family of God to plan for the year ahead. RSVP link will be forthcoming.

Peace in the Lord +
