Poetry Cup
Words matter. God used words to create the entire universe. In the same way, God uses words to create faith in us (Rom. 10:17). Jesus Himself is described as the Word become flesh (John 1:14). Words have the power to crush and to revive. They have the power to inspire us and to give us a heart of wisdom. At OSNAS, we hold words in special honor. Students of all ages take the time to memorize catechisms with Bible verses, poetry and historical speeches. On Wednesday, the students presented their classical poems to the school and their parents at the 4th annual Poetry Cup. It was without a doubt the best Poetry Cup we have had since the event began. The 4th grade class won the competition for the lower grades and 10th grade student Anjali Caliendo won in the upper grades. May the words of truth, goodness and beauty always dwell richly in the hearts of our students.
OSNAS Updates:
- The final portion of Sight & Sound payments are due tomorrow! Children 12 and over should bring in the remaining $125 and children under 12 should bring the remaining $75. If you do not submit the payment by tomorrow, your child’s spot will be available to another child on the waiting list. So please be attentive to this.
- Don’t forget to mark your calendar for March 26th at 7:15PM as all 7th-12th grade students perform Journey to Calvary: A dramatic reenactment of Jesus’ final hours.
- Pastor Stelzer and yours truly are leading a Spiritual Biblical Pilgrimage—a week long coach bus tour from June 23-28 to Christian sites including, Sight and Sound, The Ark Encounter, The Creation Museum, and Museum of the Bible. The price for this trip is very affordable and even more so for children. There are about 20 seats left on the bus. If you are interested, contact us or register HERE. Thiswill be the trip of a lifetime!
- The second round of Parent Teacher Conferences will be this Thursday. You are encouraged to come and meet with your child’s teachers from 6-8:30PM. We ask both teachers and parents in grades 6-12 to not meet beyond 7 minutes. This is so that parents can meet with as many teachers as possible.
- There will be no school on Friday for Teacher Professional Development.
May the Lord bless and keep you!
