See You at the Pole
Dear OSNAS Family,
On Wednesday, September 24th, OSNAS students, teachers and parents gathered around our flagpole to pray. See You at the Pole is a day for students to be bold and represent Christ. Prayer was wrongfully removed from our government schools in the 60s. In opposition to our nation’s long history of prayer, our government decided that it was no longer legal to ask God’s help and blessing.
Thankfully, we are able to pray and exult the name of Jesus not just one day but every day. A special thank you to Chris Milian, father of two of our students, who provided the sound equipment and a few words on the importance of the day. Thank you also to our high school prayer representatives Billy Kearns, Charlotte Kearns, Mackenzie Robinson, Isabella Briordy and several others for lifting up our nation, schools, families, and churches.
I heard yesterday that another titan of the Christian faith had passed away. Voddie Baucham was a pastor, missionary, apologist, father of nine who stood fearlessly on the Bible. I highly recommend his book Fault Lines in which he exposes the deception of those who, under the guise of Social Justice, are seeking to divide Americans into predetermined categories of oppressor or oppressed on the basis of skin color. Christ and His Word are the great unifiers. In His Word we learn that we are all equally created by God, infected with sin, and forgiven by His death on the cross. We thank God for Voddie and his example of standing up for Jesus especially when the crowd is opposed.
OSNAS Updates:
1. Picture Day is on Wednesday. Don’t forget to come dressed in your OSNAS Chapel uniform.
2. Sorry I don’t have a Biblical Thought of the Week video this week. I am away attending two different Christian conferences in Kentucky and Indiana. Any immediate questions please direct to Mr. Licausi. I look forward to seeing you again on Monday!
Peace in the Lord +
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9
